The Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital, Imphal is under the administrative control of the Medical Superintendent. The hospital administration  is expected to create such conducive environment as to enable the specialists, doctors, nurses, paramedics and other workers to perform to the best of their expertise and competency and in turn, the hospital personnel are  expected to contribute their best  to achieve the primary objective of this hospital. The Additional  Medical  Supdt. will  devote mostly  to the management techniques and ensuring quality of hospital care. The hospital administration may constitute any  number of  committees/Sub-Committees for monitoring, supervising or evaluating the functioning of the various sections/units of the hospital and ensuring the standard of medical practice and quality of hospital care as  deemed it necessary. However six committees namely      1) Death Review Committee 2) Hospital Infection Control Committee 3) Committee on Quality Assurance     4) Medical Records Committee 5) Hospital Ethics Committee 6) Tissue Committee will be standing Committees. The terme of reference, and detailed working procedure etc will be spelt out by the hospital Administration.

The hospital administration may identify suitable officers/officials to look after certain sections/units/services of the hospital in the interest of improving hospital services required from time to time.
